8-Day Private Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambhore : Delhi, Jaipur, Agra & Ranthambore
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi Airport. You will be met at the airport by our representative who give you a warm welcome by fresh flower garlands and transfer to your hotel by air-conditioned Car. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2:- Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast check out & leave for a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. We visit Jama Masjid, this immense mosque is both the largest in India and the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees, Later we drive past Red Fort citadel. & visit Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January, 1948. Two museums dedicated to Gandhi are located near by. In New Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. It is a red sandstone tower, standing tall at a height of 72.5 metres and is covered with intricate carvings and verses from the holy Qur’an. The India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and drive past the grand government buildings the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of British Raj. Evening Visit Lotus Temple (Closed on Monday) has a striking though plain central hall where you can meditate. The hall is 34.27m. High. Thought-provoking quotes of the Baha’i sacred scriptures are inscribed on the petal alcoves. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi / Jaipur (240 Kms / 4 Hrs)
After breakfast check out & transfer to Jaipur – Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa – Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. On arrival at Jaipur check inn & relax. Evening visit Birla Temple also known as Laxmi Narayan Mandir, is situated just below the renowned Moti Dungri Fort. Built in a contemporary manner, covers the vast lands of the city of Jaipur. We witness Arti ceremony at Birla Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel, proceed with visit of Amber Fort – (ascend the imposing fort on a decorated painted elephant) .is located in Amber (Jaipur), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks stunning, all-built in white marble and red sandstone. Later we visitHawa Mahal – built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur. After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it now converted into a magnificent museum. Later we visit Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory raised in the 18th century. Time permitting visit cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets & textiles. Witness how silk carpets are handmade. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur / Ranthambhore (160 Kms / 3 Hrs)
After breakfast check out & transfer to Ranthambhore, former hunting preserve of the Maharajas, famous for the wildlife sanctuary, which is said to have the India’sfriendliest tigers and considered to be the best place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat. It is a wonderful place for bird watching too. In the afternoon leave for excursions in the park. You are likely to see Nilgai (blue bull), barking deer and sloth bear and perhaps the very elusive Bengal tiger. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Ranthambhore / Agra (260 Kms / 5 Hrs)
After breakfast, depart to the home town of Taj Mahal – Agra, takes you through the beautiful countryside. Enroute we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri – which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day. On arrival in Agra check in hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Agra Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel and leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a Unesco World Heritage Site is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ». Also visit the imposing Agra Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques. Enjoy shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and softstone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Agra / Delhi (200 Kms / 3 Hrs)
After breakfast drive back to Delhi, Arrival Delhi transfer to Bazaar for shopping, There are lots of options in Delhi when it comes to traditional Bazaars and markets. You will find a famous bazaar in every corner of the city. In the traditional bazaars or markets you will find a cluster of shops selling the same thing in a particular bazaar. That means each bazaar is famous for a particular item (Closed on Sunday).
