Day 01 Cochin – Munnar (5 Hrs Drive)
First day of kerala tour you are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport/Railway station by The Travel Planners representative and thereafter drive to Munnar hills (160 kms / 5 hrs). Enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check in to the Hotel and relax. Overnight in the Spice Tree Resort – Classic Jacuzzi Room.
Day 02 Munnar
Morning sightseeing in Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eravikulam National Park, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at Spice Tree Resort – Classic Jacuzzi Room
Day 03 Thekkady (3.5 Hrs drive)
Morning drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 3.5 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the Resort. After lunch visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc… On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at Greenwoods – Rithika (Pool Villa)
Day 04 Kumarakom (4 Hrs drive)
Drive to Kumarakom, the enchanting backwater region of Kerala and check into your hotel. The labyrinthine network of rivers, canals, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer stunning views and is an ideal place to relax. Day at leisure. Overnight at the Abad Whispering Palms – Pool Villa.
Day 05 House Boat (transfer by boat)
Today 12 Noon embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it’s the life along the coast that adds an exotic touch of to this experience. The locals travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places, enroute. Overnight on board. Premium A/c House Boat (Full Board)
Day 06 Departure – 2 Hrs drive
Last day of Kerala tour morning after breakfast departure transfer to Cochin Airport (If your departure flight is in the evening you do Cochin sightseeing [Optional])
